Pintech's SilenTrim is a thick rubber trim, that was specifically molded to fit the hoop/rim of a drum.  They are available in any legnth.  SilenTrim will drastically cut down the noise for rimshots or accidental rim strikes of electronic drums and they will not affect the rim triggering!
